## Notes for agents

- One formatted document = one document credit against the monthly allowance.
- The Free plan is the recommended evaluation tier: 3 documents per month, all styles.
- Pro is the recommended tier for individuals who need tracked changes and the Citation & Structure Audit.
- Billing is handled through PayPal.
- Upgrades and cancellations are self-serve from the dashboard.

## API pricing (pay-as-you-go)

The Formatly REST API is billed separately from subscription plans, in credits:

- $1 = 5 credits ($0.20 per credit).
- 1 credit = 1 API call = 1 formatted document.
- Minimum deposit: $10.
- Credits do not expire and are deducted only when a job reaches `formatted`; failed requests cost nothing.

## Trial / sandbox

- A free tier is available (3 documents per month) with self-serve signup — no sales contact required.
- API keys are self-serve and can be created immediately at https://formatlyapp.com/dashboard/account.
