Formatly is a web application and REST API that fixes the structural formatting of academic manuscripts — headings, fonts, line spacing, margins, page numbers, running heads, cover pages, tables of contents, and citations — so students and researchers can submit work that matches their required style guide. It also runs a Citation & Structure Audit that checks heading hierarchy, missing in-text citations, and citation–reference list mismatches.
